German car tuning firm AC Schnitzer brought a tuning kit for the 2012 BMW 650i, to the Essen Motor Show in Germany. The tuning kit for the 650i is called the ASC6 5.0i and it helps make the coupe look a little more aggressive and perform better.
The tuning kit includes a new lower lip/apron for the front bumper, chrome front grill and chrome fender trim pieces, a trunk mounted rear lip spoiler, and a rear apron that has a diffuser incorporated in it. The BMW 650i now rides on 21” rims which AC Schnitzer claims weigh 30% less than the factory equipped 20” rims; the AC Schnitzer rims weigh in at 25.3 pounds each. continue reading →
Here’s the world’s first tuned BMW 1M Coupe, by German car tuning company Kelleners Sport. The tuning kit, called KS1-S, includes performance and visual upgrades to make the 1M Coupe look even more aggressive.
The Kelleners Sport 1M Coupe sees a 20% increase in horsepower to a total of 410 HP, up from 340 HP and torque is increased from 332 pound-feet to 406 lb-ft (450 Nm to 550 Nm). The horsepower figures are only 10 shy of the E92 M3, pretty impressive, this thing should be a blast to drive. The power to weight ratio is reduced from 4.4 kg/HP to 3.8 kg/HP. The tuner also installed quad 83 mm tail pipes to release the hot exhaust gases and give the car an aggressive tone. continue reading →
If you’re into hot hatches and like the Fiat 500 Abarth but the car is either too small for you or you think it’s a bit on the girly side, Abarth has a solution for you. It’s called the Fiat Punto Evo EsseEsse Abarth, which is a tuned version of the already tuned Abarth Punto Evo.
The Abarth Punto Evo EsseEsse comes with 180 horsepower, up from 165, with the help of a reprogrammed ECU and bigger turbochargers. The added power propels the EsseEsse to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 7.3 seconds with a top speed of 134 mph (216 km/h). Fifth Gear’s Tiff Needell finally gets his hands on the latest supercar from Italy. Tiff drives the Ferrari Four (FF) on some scenic twisty mountain roads to see if it does indeed feel like a real Ferrari and ends the video with the FF being driven around on slick icy roads to see how well the four-wheel drive works, a first on a production Ferrari. Here’s the first look at a new body kit for the Ferrari 458 Italia by Japanese tuners Fairy Design. The pictures are provided by our local tuning shop SR Auto Group who will be one of the first official dealers to carry this body kit.
The tuners didn’t provide any details on the kit but from what I see in the pictures, it looks like there is a new front lip spoiler piece which continues on to the side of the car and ends at the rear bumper, that’s the best I can describe it, I don’t really know what to call it. Below is a short video released by Novitec Rosso of a pair of their tuned Ferrari 458 Italia’s, we first posted about the car here. This time however, the cars are finished in red with black carbon fiber trim. I did like the white Novitec tuned 458 Italia, however, I’m not really big fan of this version, especially the red rims and the music in the video just makes everything a little worse.
A little background info on the Novitec Rosso Ferrari 458 Italia; the Ferrari 4.5 liter V8 now produces 609 horsepower and 420 pound-feet (569 Nm) of torque and has a new top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h).
The video mostly shows the cars standing still, except for the ending, I guess this is a bit of a teaser of what’s to come and I can’t wait for a full video of the car blasting around a track. Sure, I’m not a fan of the visuals of the car but I know this car will move like lightning and sound like thunder! Video after the jump. continue reading →
