Wheelsandmore-Audi-R8-V10-Spyder

Here’s the Wheelsandmore tuned Audi R8 V10 Spyder we referred to yesterday in our Wheelsandmore Aston Martin Vantage post.  The tuned Audi R8 V10 Spyder gets the same power upgrades as the Wheelsandmore tuned R8 V10 coupe (we didn’t cover that car).  The power upgrade includes a tuned ECU and the addition of a hand-crafted stainless steel exhaust system which upped the power to 600 horsepower and 590 pound-feet (800 Nm) of torque.

The R8 Spyder gets light-weight 3-piece 6Sporz black wheels with white lip that matches the body paint, wrapped in 245/30/20 front and 295/35/20 rear Continental tires.  A new Level-Control-System (LCS) hydraulic suspension is added to the R8 Spyder that allows the car to be raised 40 mm at the touch of a button to avoid scrapping the bottom of the car on those pesky speed bumps.  Other minor upgrades include a matte black front grill and black enamel tail pipes. continue reading →

Oakley-Design-Tuned-Lamborghini-Aventador-Front

Oakley Design has announced their plans for a tuned Aventador called the Lamborghini Aventador LP760-2.  The stock Aventador is called LP700-4 because it has around 700 horsepower (690 to be exact) and comes equipped with an all-wheel-drive system.  Naturally, Oakley Design Aventador is named using the same logic, it will come with around 760 horsepower and 550 pound-feet (746 Nm) of torque and it will be strictly rear-wheel-drive.  Only 5 cars will be produced, 3 have already been sold.  If you don’t happen to be one of the luck 5, you can still order individual parts to make your Aventador look different from your neighbors’.

The extra horsepower will come from re-tuning the ECU, larger airbox and intakes, and an all-new light-weight titanium exhaust system.  The removal of the all-wheel-drive system will reduce the car’s weight by 187 pounds (85 kilograms) and the titanium exhaust also helps with the loss of 66 pounds (30 kg).  The increased power and lighter weight should make LP760-2 an even more fun to drive supercar. continue reading →

Piecha-Design-Tuned-Mercedes-Benz-SLK

It didn’t take long for car tuning firms to start tuning the recently released Mercedes-Benz SLK Roadster.  I think Piecha Design is the first tuner that is offering an upgraded body kit for the SLK, called the “Accurian RS”.

The Piecha Design body kit for the SLK Roadster is quite subtle but it does give the 2012 SLK a sportier look.  The front gets a redesigned bumper with extra vents, LED daytime running lights, and an elegant chin spoiler.  The body kit continues on in the sides with the addition of side skirts that include LED lights under them that light up at night.  Not really sure what to think of these lights, they seem very tacky and I thought we left this type of “upgrade” in the 80’s and 90’s.  The rear bumper gets a black diffuser that can be ordered in small or large size and it integrates the quad tail pipes into the bumper.  A rear spoiler lip has also been added to the trunk. continue reading →

Porsche-911-Carrera-4-GTS-Yellow

We thought the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 was going to be the last version produced for the outgoing 997 model, which will be replaced with 991, Porsche proved us wrong again by introducing yet another version of the 991.  This time it’s the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS, which is based on the Carrera GTS with the addition of the four-wheel-drive system.  The Carrera 4 GTS will be available in either a couple or cabriolet format.

The Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS is powered by a 3.8 liter boxer six cylinder engine that’s capable of producing 408 horsepower at 7,300 rpm and 310 pound-feet (420 Nm) of torque between 4,200 and 5,600 rpm.  The Carrera 4 GTS coupe sprints to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds while the cabriolet is 0.2 seconds slower, both models come standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, these times are identical to the Carrera GTS.  0.2 seconds can be shaved off the 0 – 62 mph time with the addition of the optional 7-speed PDK transmission on both the coupe and cabriolet models. continue reading →

Hamann-BMW-5-Series-Touring-F11

A few weeks ago we showed you the Hamann Motorsports BMW 5-Series F10 sedan, now the German car tuner focuses its attention to the BMW 5-Series F11 touring (wagon/estate).  The front bumper looks identical to the one offered on the F10 sedan but there is an optional front bumper with integrated LED daytime running lights.

The body kit for the 5-Series wagon comes in a few different varieties with larger air intakes in the bumper for the cars equipped with the M-technology package.  Hamann added sporty side skirts, a redesigned rear bumper with a spoiler and cut outs for the quad exhaust tips, and a roof mounted subtle spoiler.  The car is offered with several 20” and 21” wheel options and can be equipped with an optional 35 mm lowered suspension. continue reading →

Lamborghini-Indomable-Mostro Di-Potenza-SF22

Now this is what I call a supercar!!  A 2,000 horsepower Lamborghini.  The car in question is the Lamborghini Indomable and was originally a design study sponsored by Lamborghini.  The guys behind the idea were Alberto Fernandez and Daniel Chinchilla Ochoa.  You might think this is just another concept car but you’d be wrong, there are now plans to build the car but not by Lamborghini.

An American (Pennsylvania) based company called 215 Racing has acquired the rights to the Indomable design and they are planning on building production models through their subsidiary company called Mostro Di-Potenza, which means “Monster Power” in Italian, the car will be called SF22. continue reading →
