BMW must be really pissed off; the official 2012 BMW M5 F10 pictures have been leaked onto the internet thanks to online car magazines. Although the previous generation M5 was bit soft, the engineers at BMW have stepped it up and gave the new generation M5 F10 a real aggressiveness. Aggressive solid lines go smooth into the body to give it a menacing look. Enlarged air intakes, 20 inch wheels with Z rated tires and 4 tail pipes set it apart from the stock 5 series.
Gone is the V10 to be replaced by a more efficient and higher horsepower twin turbo V8. Power is boosted from 510 hp (V10) to 552 hp and torque is also boosted from 383 pound-feet (519 Nm) to an astonishing 501 lb-ft (679 Nm). Hold on to your panties as this increase in horsepower and torque will rocket you from standstill to 60 miles per hour in a mere 4.4 seconds. To help you achieve that 0-60 time, two transmission options are available. Customers can choose between the standard dual-clutch transmission and a real man’s 6-speed, manual transmission. Although the 6-speed manual will be available states side only. continue reading →

It has been a while since the last time we posted about a tuned Porsche Cayenne, for a while there were tuned Cayennes popping up on a weekly basis. Although this is not a completely new Cayenne, German car tuning firm Lumma Design has upgraded their Cayenne CLR 558 GT to make it even more aggressive.
It’s a bit hard for me to see the difference between this tuning package and the previous on by Lumma Design just from looking at the pictures but I’ll take the tuner’s word for it. According to the tuning firm, the Cayenne CLR 558 GT II gets a wider body kit including wide front bumper, side skirts, fender flares, and the rear bumper. continue reading →

We first posted about the tuned Honda CR-Z by Mugen back in March; they continue to tune the car before being unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July. In the meantime, Honda has released a short teaser video of the tuned Honda CR-Z Mugen, driving around on some scenic Welsh twisty roads.
I personally don’t really understand the point of tuning a hybrid car but to each their own. Since this is an ongoing project, Honda hasn’t provided any power figures but we do know the 1.5 liter gasoline engine is now equipped with a supercharger. The current 0 – 60 mph performance figures are similar to the Civic Type-R, or somewhere around the mid-six second mark. continue reading →

The engineers at VW decided that the new 2012 Beetle should adhere more to the male driver. As we all know, the previous generation Beetle was a bit of a chic’s car. Although the new Beetle looks sleeker than the previous generation, it still carries the tag of a chic’s car.
The good people at VWvortex are hell bent on making it a man’s car. When we think of a man’s car, we tend to think Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc. Since VW owns Porsche, why not use that as an inspiration to make the Beetle more male friendly. VWvortex were given access to the new 2012 Beetle and they got to work right away by borrowing visual design from the 911 GT3 RS. continue reading →

Another day, another special edition car! This time BMW is releasing a special edition M3 Coupe called the BMW Frozen Black Edition M3 Coupe, the car will only be available in the North American market and is limited to 20 units at a price of $79,650 (plus $850 for delivery). Quite a hefty price for an M3 if you ask me, that’s about a $21,000 premium over a “regular” BMW M3 Coupe.
So what do you get for spending $80k on a coupe? In addition to optional packages like the convenience and premium packages, you get flat black exterior paint with gloss black 19” GTS wheels. The front kidney grill, side vents, and the exhaust tips are also finished in gloss black. Other upgrades include red brake callipers, carbon fiber interior pieces, and black leather interior with red contrasting stitching, sport mapping for the DSC/EDC, and a 10 mm lower suspension. continue reading →

The Audi R8 is the epitome of sports cars. Some might call it an exotic and some would argue that it’s just a sports car that’s really fast. For those who can’t dish out the money for an Audi R8; can now make their Audi TT resemble a R8.
German car tuner Project Kahn has introduced a new styling kit that resembles the looks of an Audi R8 for the Audi TT.
