Sporty look - Enhanced road traction
kleemann
Speed Sensitive Suspension
Performance suspensions are often too
harsh for everyday use, while a standard
suspension setup is too soft for sporty driving
and quick handling. With the kleemann
Speed
Sensitive Suspension you can have both a
comfortable street ride along with outstanding
handling and driving dynamics for a more sporty
driving experience.
In simple terms, the kleemann
Speed Sensitive
Suspension gets firmer the harder you go. Turn
fast into a corner and the dampers immediately
get harder as the car goes through quickly and
with minimum body roll.
The Springs
The kleemann
springs are progressive rate
springs that provide reduced body roll and a
comfortable ride while lowering the vehicle's
gravity closer to the ground.
The Dampers
High nitrogen gas charge and Variable Aperture
technology allow the kleemann
damper to have a
variety of compression and rebound rates. The
quicker and farther the damper is compressed,
the stiffer it becomes.
The kleemann
Speed Sensitive Suspension fits all
C-Class (W203), CLK-Class (W208 & W209) and
E-Class (W210) models, and is currently under
development for the current SLK (R171) and
E-Class (W211).
kleemann
Electronic Body Lowering module
(EBL)
The kleemann
Electronic Body Lowering
module (EBL) fits all AirMatic and ABC-equipped
cars and lowers the car for a more sporty and
elegant appearance. The system retains the
comfortable ride despite somewhat stiffer
dampening characteristics.
kleemann
Suspension Tuning for AirMatic
and ABC equipped cars
The kleemann
Suspension Tuning (ST)
module increases the effective spring rate and
shock valving for a firmer ride and more
responsive handling. The kleemann
Tuned
Suspension fits all none AMG E-Class (W211)
models with AirMatic as well as all non AMG SL
(R230) models with ABC suspension.
Product comparison EBL - ST for AirMatic/ABC:
The EBL lowers the car only. The
Suspension tuning is a software programming of
the AirMatic or ABC OE control unit, which will
stiffen the ride by changing the in- and out
bound dampening characteristic.
