A naturally aspirated engine will gain an 8-10 percent enhancement in torque and horsepower, while a turbo or compressor charged petrol engine will gain up to 20 percent more power. A kleemann upgrade of the control unit of a diesel CDI engine will enhance the torque and horsepower output up to 25 percent.
An ECU upgrade is most efficient on a petrol engine when combined with other kleemann tuning products.
