2012-Transformers-Special-Edition-Camaro

We were first introduced to the resurrection of the Chevrolet Camaro in the first installment of Transformers back in 2007. Fast forward four years and Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon is to be released on June 29 and once again, the Chevrolet Camaro is one of the main characters as Bumblebee. Chevrolet is really taking this opportunity to reach out to the younger crowd with the Camaro and with the Transformers franchise.

Making that connection with the younger fans, GM has launched a limited edition Camaro model based on the “Bumblebee” character. The Transformers special edition package, which will add an extra $3,000 onto the 2LT and 2SS Camaro coupe with Rally yellow paint. Ferrari-F430-Spyder-16M-Anderson-Germany

The Ferrari F430 was one of my favorite modern-day exotic cars until the 458 Italia took its place.  Nevertheless, the F430 still holds a special place in my heart and thankfully there are still car tuning firms that like to give the F430 some lovin’.

Anderson Germany took a Ferrari F430 Spyder and gave it the Scuderia 16M treatment.  On the exterior, the tuned Ferrari F430 gets a beautiful custom black paint job with the Scuderia stripes finished in carbon with yellow pinstripes around it.  The bodywork has been upgraded tastefully with a new front air dam, side skirts, and a really sexy rear apron.  The headlights and taillights have been smoked out to give the car an even stealthier look.  A set of hot looking 20” rims are installed that also have the carbon treatment and a yellow stripe around the outer edges.  The suspension is upgraded with a three-level adjustable racing damper system. continue reading →

BMW-M3-CRT-Front

BMW has released a very exclusive and limited edition of the M3 dubbed as the CRT (Carbon Racing Technology). This sexy beast was unveiled during a BMW M event right before the Nurburgring 24-Hour race.

This limited edition utilizes the body styling of the current M3 sedan in conjunction with technology used on the M3 GTS Coupe. And to take things even further, the car heavily uses CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) to reduce the overall weight of the vehicle. The BMW M3 CRT is being used as the platform to introduce the worldwide debut of new production process for the CFRP materials in the automotive world. CFRP material will also be used on the i3 EV hatchback and i8 hybrid sports coupe both of which are to enter production soon.

Project-Kahn-Tuned-Porsche-Panamera

The Porsche Panamera is the ugly duckling in the Porsche family of cars but it is nevertheless a success story, which has turned heads and actually made money for Porsche. Although I’m still not sold on Panamera, car tuning firms are still coming out with new body kits to make it aggressive and appealing for the naysayers.

Project Kahn has introduced a new 10 piece styling kit for the Porsche Panamera which includes wheel arch extensions, front and rear bumpers, and a rear spoiler. Front LED strips, Project Kahn’s own RS-600 alloy wheels, and an interior package that blends leather, wood and carbon fiber. Not a very big fan of this kit as Project Kahn is known for aggressive yet eye catching body kits. continue reading →

How do you cater a Toyota IQ to people who drive high end exotics? Put an Aston Martin badge on it and call it a Cygnet. How do you cater an Aston Martin Cygnet to the fashionably savvy? Get together with the French fashion house Colette.

Aston Martin has teamed up with Colette to produce a very limited 14 Cygnets to set them apart from stock Cygnets. 2012-BMW-M5-F10-Blue

BMW must be really pissed off; the official 2012 BMW M5 F10 pictures have been leaked onto the internet thanks to online car magazines. Although the previous generation M5 was bit soft, the engineers at BMW have stepped it up and gave the new generation M5 F10 a real aggressiveness.   Aggressive solid lines go smooth into the body to give it a menacing look. Enlarged air intakes, 20 inch wheels with Z rated tires and 4 tail pipes set it apart from the stock 5 series.

Gone is the V10 to be replaced by a more efficient and higher horsepower twin turbo V8. Power is boosted from 510 hp (V10) to 552 hp and torque is also boosted from 383 pound-feet (519 Nm) to an astonishing 501 lb-ft (679 Nm). Hold on to your panties as this increase in horsepower and torque will rocket you from standstill to 60 miles per hour in a mere 4.4 seconds. To help you achieve that 0-60 time, two transmission options are available. Customers can choose between the standard dual-clutch transmission and a real man’s 6-speed, manual transmission. Although the 6-speed manual will be available states side only. continue reading →
