Oakley-Design-Tuned-Lamborghini-Aventador-Front

Oakley Design has announced their plans for a tuned Aventador called the Lamborghini Aventador LP760-2.  The stock Aventador is called LP700-4 because it has around 700 horsepower (690 to be exact) and comes equipped with an all-wheel-drive system.  Naturally, Oakley Design Aventador is named using the same logic, it will come with around 760 horsepower and 550 pound-feet (746 Nm) of torque and it will be strictly rear-wheel-drive.  Only 5 cars will be produced, 3 have already been sold.  If you don’t happen to be one of the luck 5, you can still order individual parts to make your Aventador look different from your neighbors’.

The extra horsepower will come from re-tuning the ECU, larger airbox and intakes, and an all-new light-weight titanium exhaust system.  The removal of the all-wheel-drive system will reduce the car’s weight by 187 pounds (85 kilograms) and the titanium exhaust also helps with the loss of 66 pounds (30 kg).  The increased power and lighter weight should make LP760-2 an even more fun to drive supercar. continue reading →

Lamborghini-Aventador-HD-Videos

It seems like just yesterday when I first heard the name Aventador and quickly scrambled to write a post on it (here).  Of course that was just speculation (at that time), we didn’t know if the car will actually be called the Lamborghini Aventador but it sounded a lot better than Lamborghini Jota and we ran with it.

Now that the Aventador LP700-4 has been officially made public, for quite some time, there are lots of videos being released on a weekly basis, so instead of making a new post about each Lamborghini Aventador video, we’ll make this post the official Lamborghini Aventador Videos.  We’ll keep adding new Aventador Videos as they become available below: continue reading →

Lamborghini-Aventador-Live-Video

When I first saw pictures of the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, I thought it wasn’t as revolutionary as it should have been and I was quite underwhelmed.  Seeing the video below, which was taken on a street in Berlin where I’m assuming the car was being delivered to a showroom, I’m changing my mind.  I think the Aventador LP700-4 looks hot and it gives me the tingly feeling in the nether regions that James May gets when he sees a hot car.

The Aventador gets plenty of attention from people on the street, with good reason, even traffic slows down to get a good look at this 700 horsepower beast, this car is hazardous and I want one now!! continue reading →

Lamborghini-Aventador-Configurator

The Lamborghini Aventador’s official configurator is up, after waiting for months and writing several posts on the supercar, it all seems anticlimactic.  The configurator only lets you pick the colors for the Aventador LP700-4 and, well, that’s about it.  I was hoping it will let me choose other options and give me more of a reason to waste time and create an Aventador that I’ll never be able to buy.

There is a wide variety of color choices available from solid, metallic, pearl effect to even matte finish.  Head on over to the Aventador’s official website (click) to see for yourself.

Lamborghini-Aventador-Geneva-Show-Pictures

After numerous leaked “real” pictures of the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 last week, we finally get a good look at the car’s live pictures.  These pictures were taken at what looks like to be the Lamborghini booth at the Geneva Motor Show.

The pictures were taken by the good folks at Autogespot; who, I’m guessing, sneaked in and snapped some pictures of the Aventador LP700-4 in all its glory (way to go guys!!). continue reading →

Lamborghini-Aventador-Rolling-Chassis

Before we got our hands on the clearest pictures yet of the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 (yesterday), Lamborghini released this image of the Aventador’s rolling chassis.  I never thought a chassis would look this sexy!

The Lamborghini Aventador is confirmed for the Geneva Motor Show in early march and is probably one of the most anticipated supercars in a very long time.  Lamborghini has released pictures of various parts of the car including the pushrod suspension, engine and gearbox, and most recently the carbon fiber monocoque.  And of course there are numerous spy shots and spy video and the leaked Croatian EVO Magazine photo.
