Jaguar-XFR-S-Front

Working in a luxury car dealership, I’ve had the pleasure of driving Bentley, Aston Martin, Range Rover and Jaguars. When I heard that Jaguar was going to release a new version of the XKR at the Geneva Auto Show, I thought to myself, “How can they improve upon a beast??”

First off, the Jaguar XKR is not for the weak hearted. Once you hit the right pedal, the car goes like nothing. The power hits you hard and pins you to the seat reaching out for dear life. So how can they improve upon the already amazing XKR?? continue reading →

Jaguar-S-Type-Vintage-GT-Panzani-Design

Here’s a car that would make Mad Max proud, produced by a relatively unknown Italian car tuning company called Panzani Design.  The car is called the Vintage GT and is based on the discontinued Jaguar S-Type R; it looks like it’s ready for demolition derby.

The S-Type R Vintage GT is one scary looking car; Panzani Design installed wide wheels at the front and back with massive fender flares.  The wheels measure 20” in diameter and are wrapped in 255/35 R20 tires at the front and 305/30 R20 tires at the rear. continue reading →

2011-Arden-Jaguar-XJ

Jaguar tuner Arden has released their latest creation, the Jaguar XJ AJ 22. The outside gets treatment via 21 inch, two tone lightweight alloy rims, stainless steel mesh grill, and LED fog lights. A nostalgic leaping cat is added to the hood as Jaguar discontinued that a few years back.

The new 5.0L engine is upped in horsepower by re-mapping the ECU, Arden high performance stainless steel exhaust, and Sport metal catalytic-converters. These additions are good for 95hp and 89ft/lb of torque. continue reading →

Jaguar-Black-Pack-Package

I had the pleasure of driving the Jaguar XF for a weekend last year and overall it was a positive experience.  The XF has outstanding styling and it had heads turning everywhere I went.  Now Jaguar has decided to improve the looks even more with their new package called the “Black Pack” for the XF.  The package costs £950 and is currently only available in Europe and can be added to the standard XF, XF Diesel and the potent XFR.

The Black Pack consists of 20 inch Draco wheels that are painted in gunmetal color, the front grill has been blacked out as well as the window surrounds.  The Black Pack can be added to cars that are colored Ultimate Black, Spectrum Blue, Lunar Grey, Polaris White, Liquid Silver and Stratus Grey.  The Salsa Red and Kyanite Blue colored cars can aslo be equipped with this package, however, these colors are only available on the Jaguar XFR. continue reading →

Jaguar-C-X75-Concept-Hybrid-Car

Jay Leno is one lucky dude!  He’s funny, he has millions of dollars and last but not least he has a lot of cars and gets to play with other peoples’ cars.  In the video below, Jay gets to drive (for a very short distance) the Jaguar C-X75 Hybrid concept car and gets to talk with Ian Callum, Jaguar’s head of design.

The C-X75 was built to celebrate Jaguar’s 75 years of car production and to show the world what the future holds for Jaguar.  The car is powered by four electric engines, placed at each wheel, producing 778 horsepower.  There are two additional gas turbine engines that produce 188 horsepower that charge the batteries. continue reading →

2011-Jaguar-XJ-Luxury-Car

In collaboration with our friends at Unfinished Man, here’s our first car review/test drive.  For a complete review of the 2011 Jaguar XJ please visit Unfinished Man.

The 2011 Jaguar XJ was provided to us by MCL Motor Cars and we drove around in it (in style) for three days.  The new Jaguar XJ is a departure from the classic styling of the XJ’s that we’ve grown accustomed to over the years.  I believe this new styling is to attract a younger audience to the brand, and it seems to work.  Everywhere we drove, we got a lot of looks from the younger crowd (20 and 30 something’s) and these looks were the positive kind.

I personally loved the styling in the front of the car, the lights (or the eyes as I like to call them) have an extremely seductive look to them, like a super model giving you “that look”.  I’m not too big of a fan of the rear styling, I think it could use some work.  On the positive side, the rear-end looks like no other car on the road, which is a good thing in my opinion. continue reading →
