We all know the Arabs have lots of money and they like to spend it on things most of us can only dream of. They also love their exotic cars and buy them like the average person buys groceries, must be nice to have oil coming out of the ground. Now this is what I call a supercar!! A 2,000 horsepower Lamborghini. The car in question is the Lamborghini Indomable and was originally a design study sponsored by Lamborghini. The guys behind the idea were Alberto Fernandez and Daniel Chinchilla Ochoa. You might think this is just another concept car but you’d be wrong, there are now plans to build the car but not by Lamborghini.
An American (Pennsylvania) based company called 215 Racing has acquired the rights to the Indomable design and they are planning on building production models through their subsidiary company called Mostro Di-Potenza, which means “Monster Power” in Italian, the car will be called SF22. continue reading →
The Gallardo has been the most successful car produced by the Sant’Agata based exotic car manufacturers, Lamborghini. But sooner or later, all good things must come to an end and the Gallardo is going to be replaced with an all-new baby supercar called the Cabrera, which is named after a famous Spanish fighting bull.
Like the Aventador, the Lamborghini Cabrera will come with a lightweight carbon fiber monocoque, making it weigh less than its predecessor. The Cabrera will be powered by a V10 engine that will produce 570 horsepower, this engine will be shared with the all-new Lamborghini Estoque sedan set to debut in 2014. continue reading →
Below is a sweet promotional video from the Geneva Motor Show for the awesome Pagani Huayra supercar…
Ancient legends of the Aymara tell us of Huayra Tata, god of winds, who commands the breezes, winds, and blizzards that invade the mountains, cliffs and hills of the Andean highlands. Huayra Tata sleeps, the waters and rivers lay quiet. But the calm before the storm is about to be interrupted…
The Swedish supercar maker Koenigsegg will be bringing their latest car, the Agera R, to the Geneva Motor Show. This particular Agera R’s paint scheme is inspired by Speed Racer per the owner’s request and comes with a carbon fiber ski box that can be mounted on the roof and can be used safely at speeds of up to 186 mph (300 km/h).
The technology present in the Koenigsegg Agera R is impressive; the car’s monocoque chassis weight only 154 pounds (70 kg) and the entire car weighs in at 2,932 pounds (1,330 kg). According to Koenigsegg, the Agera R is the lightest production supercar in the world. Not only is the Agera R very light, it also packs a massive punch. Powered by a 5.0 liter bi-turbo V8 engine that produces 1,150 horsepower and 885 pound-feet (1,200 Nm) of torque using E85 ethanol fuel or 940 HP and 811 pound-feet (1,100 Nm) of torque when running on gasoline (95 Octane). continue reading →
